Sals Stars of the Week: Jenny Oritgoza (introduced by Donna Lee Samson)

This week’s Sals Star of the Week goes to one of our amazing Unit Assistants in the Cardiac Clinics, Jenny Oritgoza. Jenny has been with the Cardiac Clinics for quite some time and has been a fountain of knowledge and an extraordinary team member.

Jenny supports four of our cardiology interventionalists in the Cardiac Clinics. She also schedules and runs our TAVI clinic which has its own unique challenges and works with a very specialized population with aortic disease.  Jenny through it all remains calm and collected and can find a way through any challenge. Over the last 4 weeks, Jenny has taken on increased responsibilities in supporting three additional physicians as well as our cardiology fellow clinics while we have had some unexpected vacancies. Even though some of these days are very challenging and hectic, Jenny still gives her all every day, keeps a smile on her face, and ensures the patients and physicians needs comes first. Even with her busy workload, she is always willing to lend a hand, offer support and still find a moment in the day to find some humour.

Thank you Jenny for all your hard work these past few weeks and for definitely going above and beyond each day to support our patients, our physicians and especially the unit assistant team.
