CSP tops the country for best CABG and PCI short term outcome metrics

CIHI’s Cardiac Care Quality Indicators Report for the 3 year span from 2015-16 to 2017-18 was released today (https://www.cihi.ca/en/cardiac-care). Once again we ranked as the best in country (at least based on point estimates) for our isolated CABG outcomes (#1 for lowest 30 day in-hospital mortality and #1 for lowest 30-Day all-cause readmission rates) and for PCI (#1 for lowest 30 day readmission rates). Our ongoing “owning the podium” highlighted in today’s report is a testament of our dedication to excellence in care across the whole of the journey of our patients with coronary artery disease—from first entry into our system to their discharge. Thanks to all of you for being part of the CSP community and for your part in helping our patients to have the best results in the country again!
