We provide specialized, life-long care to adults in Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Nunavut with congenital heart disease.
- A team of doctors, including an adult congenital heart disease specialist, an interventional cardiologist, and palliative care cardiologist
- A dedicated registered nurse
- Support staff including a clerk
- We provide care for patients with simple to complex congenital heart disease
- We provide procedures for congenital heart disease and will collaborate with specialists across Canada to provide procedures not currently available in the province.

What you need to know to better manage your heart health:

- Signs of heart problems and when to seek medical attention
- Your medical history and any heart surgeries you have had

- You can download the app HeartPedia – this app shows you a 3D image and an explanation of what your heart looked like and what repairs you had

What you can do to better manage your heart health:
- Be able to describe your heart condition
- Keep a list of all your current medications
- Go to all your diagnostic tests and medical appointments
- Talk to your pharmacist about any possible drug interactions from prescription or non-prescription medications, including herbals
- Tell your health care providers you have a congenital heart condition and you are being followed by the MACH Clinic
- Contact your family doctor for health concerns. They will notify the MACH Clinic if it is related to your heart
Improve your health by:
- Don’t smoke
- Eating a heart healthy diet
- Exercising regularly (after talking with your family doctor)
- Maintaining a healthy weight
- Taking your medications as prescribed
