Y2 Pre & Post Procedure Recovery Area
The Y2 Pre-& Post Recovery Area is located in the Bergen Cardiac Care Centre at St. Boniface Hospital. This is an 18-bed unit providing pre-and-post cardiac procedure care for elective and emergent patients in Manitoba, Northwest Ontario, and Nunavut.
The staff of Y2 Pre-& Post admit, prep, and recover patients who are scheduled for elective and emergent procedures including:
- Coronary angiograms and angioplasties
- Pacemaker and ICD implants
- Electrophysiology testing and arrhythmia ablation
- Structural procedures such as TAVI, PFO repairs, ASD repairs, and PBMV
The Y2 Pre-& Post area also assists with TEE, Cardioversions, pharmacological stress ECHOS, and pericardiocentesis.
