Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week
This week, May 13-17, 2019 is Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week! Thank you to all of our Allied Health Professionals for all your hard work in providing our patients with the highest quality care every day. Your perseverance and empathy for all of our patients is so much appreciated.

CSP Scholarship Day is THIS WEDNESDAY in the Cohen Auditorium at the Research Centre. All members of the CSP are invited to see and hear the latest advances in scholarship in the program (mostly provided in bite-size 5 minute presentation pieces. I hope you will try to attend at least part of what I expect will be an outstanding program.

CSP Highlights from last week’s National Nurse’s Week

Congratulations to Teresa Rostek RN who received the first Cardiac Sciences Program ICCS Leadership Award. Congratulations to Kathy Hillstrom, Cardiac Clinic Nurse who received the award for Nursing Excellence.

Congratulations to Dr. Clarence Khoo, he has been appointed the Honorary President for the Manitoba Association of Cardiology Technologists.

Rakesh Arora was among an international group of leading heart surgeons, anesthesiologists and critical care specialists known as ERAS Cardiac which published the first Guidelines for Perioperative Care: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Society Recommendations in JAMA Surgery this week (for me details see links below)
