Sals Stars of the Week: Rachid Boutayeb (introduced by Alana Head)

This week I would like to recognize Rachid Boutayeb as the Sal’s Star of the week.

Rachid is a health care aide who has been working at St. Boniface Hospital since 2015 and joined the team on 6A around two years ago. Rachid always remains cool, calm and collected which is often difficult in an ever changing environment. He has a kind and caring nature and is a leader on the night shift.

This past week, 6AS had unfortunately experienced a frightening Code White event. Rachid was the first to notice and took charge.  He de-escalated the situation and ensured both patient and staff safety. His leadership, communication skills and caring nature truly shone. We are very lucky to have Rachid working on our team.

Milestones: Brenda Richardson

Please help us in extending best wishes to Brenda Richardson, who is retiring from the Cardiac Sciences Program after a 21 year career at St. Boniface Hospital. Brenda will be greatly missed by both patients and co-workers in her role as Receptionist in the EKG/Stress/Holter Department.  Her work ethic and expertise have contributed to the excellent patient care delivered in NICT.  We wish her well in her retirement.
